HAZWOPER Training
SGI specializes in OSHA HAZWOPER training designed to expand knowledge, comprehension, critical thinking and field skills. The course will provide the first responder with basic understanding of the chemistry of hazardous materials and how to effectively protect themselves and others. Hazmat team members will participate in drills, live demonstrations and hands-on activities designed to expand their ability to successfully identify, evaluate and control a hazardous materials incident. HAZWOPER course objectives stress training in control and containment, decontamination procedures, respiratory protection, and personal protective equipment. Lively class discussions, case studies, tabletop exercises and hands-on demonstrations, to the HAZWOPER classroom.
We believe in education that is delivered with the real world in mind. Students will walk away with an educational experience where “chemistry meets reality”. Students will sweat it out in Level A, B, and C; donning SCBAs and participating in live spill drills designed to test knowledge, the joy of dressing-out and decontamination.
